Nicolas Morales Vega obtained the title as Industrial Chemical Engineer at Escuela Superior de Ingeniería Química e Industrias Extractivas (ESIQIE) from Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN). Afterwards, he was awarded a master degree in Chemical Engineering by Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM). Today he is part of the Chemical Engineering group as a PhD student at Imperial College London, UK.
His current research project includes the development of porous multicomponent basic nanocatalysts using commercially available materials as a starting point with the principal objective of their application on synthesis catalytic reactions.
His interest has focused on the study of heterogeneous catalytic processes which makes the learning and knowledge of new analysis techniques and processes his current aim. This has allowed him at the start of his career to publish a paper on and international journal as well receive different awards during his studies, which include “Mención Honorifica” for the development of his undergraduate research work as well as an Academic Merit Medal for the work during his master studies.
