PhD research student at “University of Glasgow” and “The Glasgow School of Art”

Alejandro is a PhD research student at “University of Glasgow” and “The Glasgow School of Art” with a CONACyT scholarship, where he also graduate with Merit from a Master in Architecture with pathway in Zero-Energy Mass Customised Housing. Before coming to Scotland, he worked as a Project Manager at Century 21 Cupatitzio, leading the design and construction team in a wide range of commercial and residential projects.

Alejandro started working as a Project Assistant during his last years studiging Bachelor in Architecture at the “Universidad Vasco de Quiroga” in Mexico and the “Ecole Nationale d’Architecture de Clermont-Ferrand” in France. He has been awarded with Honours for his bachelor, and mention on his thesis.

Nowadays, Alejandro is deeply interested in sustainable residential architecture, mainly on the Near Zero Energy Buildings (nZEB) and Zero Energy Buildings (ZEB), where he finds a key role on preserving our planet.

Among his interest are arts, sustainability and technology, on which he bases his Master and PhD research. Alejandro has been invited to participate on lectures, in Mexico and other countries and has been part of the team for a wide range of research projects at “Mackintosh Environment Research Unit”.
